I moved to  Longfield in Kent (DA3) in December 2022. Previously I tutored in Nottingham for 23 years. My background is in special needs and I have an Open University Advanced Diploma in Special Needs.

I started raising grades in KS2 SATs and obtaining bursary (financially supported ) places in the local private schools. I worked mainly with Junior school-aged children.

Half my work now is GCE English and Foundation Maths.

I bring experience, skills and commitment to my work. I want to continue to help students reach their optimum potential,

Do not leave tutoring to the last minute. The students are being pressured by all their subject teachers and they won’t have the time.

I need to get results. They all need GCSE maths and English. I create structured plans to get results, through motivated learning. It is not a quick fix – it provides directed encouragement without pressure.

Juniors

Here the foundations for success are laid. Tutoring here ensures confusions and failure don’t blight attitudes to school. Good attainment here can help to progress to a suitable school. I can help your child reach his/her full potential.

Secondary School

The first three years of secondary school are to often neglected. If you want to do science as three separate subjects, the higher level maths paper and improve writing skills, these are the vital years.

GCSE

English coaching and personal feedback really does bring results. Maths can feel like a quick fix, see it, learn it, try it: job done. English is more complex to master. My students need to work so that whatever is on the paper, they will be able to find the details.

Presentation Speech & Drama

In Nottingham I prepared students for LAMDA exams. I coached interview and presentation skills. I worked on accent changing work and clarifying spoken delivery.

I am a member of the Society of Teachers of Speech and Drama.
